This full-day trip from Didim takes you to Dalyan for a boat cruise past the Lycian rock tombs of Kaunos, a dip in natural sulphur mud baths and relaxing hours on Iztuzu Beach, with lunch and hotel transfers included. Dalyan lies about two and a half hours from Didim, tucked among reed beds, citrus groves and pine-covered hills, and makes a perfect contrast to the resort beaches of the Aegean coast.
Once a small fishing village, Dalyan takes its name from the traditional fish traps still used on the river, and its long waterfront is lined with wooden boats. Here you board your vessel for a cruise along the winding channels of the Dalyan Delta. The highlight of the ride is the view of the Lycian rock tombs carved high into the cliffs above ancient Kaunos, their temple-like facades glowing in the sunlight. The boat then brings you to the famous natural mud baths, where you can cover yourself from head to toe in warm sulphur mud, said to cleanse and soften the skin, before rinsing off and feeling refreshed.
Lunch is served during the day, and the cruise continues to Iztuzu Beach, a long ribbon of golden sand between the river and the sea and a protected nesting ground of the loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta). There is time to swim and sunbathe before the tour also stops at a Turkish gold shop. In the late afternoon you are driven back to your hotel in Didim. This relaxed daily excursion from Didim suits couples, families with children and anyone looking for a mix of nature, history and wellbeing in a single day.

Dalyan Programme In the morning you are collected from your hotel in Didim and travel in an air-conditioned coach towards Dalyan, a journey of about two and a half hours through the countryside of the southern Aegean. On arrival your guide introduces this former fishing village, whose name comes from the fish traps placed across the river, and walks you to the harbour, where a long line of traditional boats waits along the waterfront. You board your boat and cruise slowly down the reed-fringed channels of the Dalyan Delta. Along the way you pass below the Lycian rock tombs of Kaunos, cut into the cliff face more than two thousand years ago, and your guide explains their history. The next stop is the natural sulphur mud baths, where you can smear yourself with mineral-rich mud, let it dry in the sun and then wash it off, a treatment reputed to have healing and beautifying effects. Lunch is included during the tour. The boat then carries you to Iztuzu Beach, a long sandy spit where loggerhead turtles come ashore to nest, leaving time for swimming and sunbathing. The programme also includes a visit to a Turkish gold shop. At the end of the day you return by coach to your hotel in Didim.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
