My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
The daily Didim tour to Priene, Miletus and Didyma brings together three of the most important ancient sites of the Ionian coast in one relaxed, fully guided day tour. Departing from Didim, you travel through the fertile Meander delta to discover a hillside Hellenistic city, a once mighty trading port with its own museum, and one of the grandest temples ever built for the god Apollo.
Priene was laid out on terraces above the plain and once looked straight onto the sea; centuries of silt carried by the River Meander pushed the coastline far away, leaving the city high and dry. Its compact theatre, with marble seats of honour, is a highlight of this daily excursion, while the Ionic columns of the Temple of Athena Polias recall the dedication made by Alexander the Great. Miletus, the next stop, grew rich on commerce and colonised dozens of settlements around the Mediterranean and Black Sea; its great theatre and harbour remains hint at that former power, and the nearby museum helps put the ruins into context.
The final visit is Didyma, which was never a city but a sacred site devoted to Apollo. Its temple ranked among the largest in the Greek world, and the towering columns and huge stone blocks still impress every visitor. This daily tour suits history lovers and families alike, and comes with hotel pickup and drop-off in Didim, a professional English-speaking guide and all site entrance fees listed in the programme.

Priene, Miletus & Didyma Programme After pickup from your hotel in Didim, you set off in an air-conditioned coach with your English-speaking guide for a day among the ancient cities of the Meander valley. The first visit is Priene, perched on the lower slopes of Mount Mykale. Although it was originally a port, the shoreline now lies around 16 km away, giving the site sweeping views over the plain. Here you explore the elegant theatre, considered one of the most beautiful of the Hellenistic period, and the Temple of Athena Polias, which Alexander the Great presented to the city. The journey continues to Miletus, once one of the largest and wealthiest cities in Anatolia thanks to its position on major trade routes. After walking through the ruins you visit the Miletus Museum to see objects recovered from the area. The last stop is Didyma, home not to a town but to a vast temple dedicated to Apollo, once one of the greatest sanctuaries of the Greek world. At the end of the tour you are driven back to your hotel in Didim.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
