It pairs the great sights of Istanbul and the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia with the capital city of Ankara and the UNESCO-listed Ottoman town of Safranbolu, with a Bosphorus dinner cruise and a stop at the Gökgöl Cave along the way.

• Istanbul Old City — Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar.
• Cappadocia — the Devrent and Paşabağ valleys, the Göreme Open-Air Museum, Avanos pottery and Uçhisar Castle (with an optional hot-air balloon flight).
• Ankara — the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Atatürk.
• Safranbolu — a beautifully preserved Ottoman town of timber mansions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your journey opens in Istanbul with a Bosphorus dinner cruise, followed by a guided day in the old city taking in Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar. You then fly to Cappadocia to discover its surreal valleys — Devrent, Paşabağ and the frescoed churches of the Göreme Open-Air Museum — with pottery in Avanos and the commanding view from Uçhisar Castle.

From Cappadocia you drive to Ankara to visit the superb Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and Anıtkabir, before continuing to the Ottoman jewel of Safranbolu with its cobbled lanes and timber houses. The final day returns to Istanbul through the forested Black Sea hinterland, stopping at the Gökgöl Cave and its underground river. All services are private, with your own guide and vehicle throughout.
