Welcome to Istanbul! On arrival you are met at the airport and transferred in comfort to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and begin exploring the city that famously bridges two continents. Enjoy an evening stroll by the Bosphorus or your first taste of Turkish cuisine. After breakfast we set out on a full-day tour of Istanbul's magnificent Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage area. We explore the opulent Topkapi Palace, residence of the Ottoman sultans, the awe-inspiring Hagia Sophia that has served as both cathedral and mosque across 1,500 years, the elegant Blue Mosque with its six minarets, and the ancient Hippodrome Square, once the chariot-racing heart of Byzantine Constantinople. We finish amid the colour and bustle of the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest and largest covered markets. Lunch is served at a local restaurant, then we return to the hotel. After breakfast we visit the fragrant Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar), full of colours, scents and Turkish delight, and the sumptuous Dolmabahçe Palace, the waterside home of the last Ottoman sultans. We then enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Bosphorus, gliding between Europe and Asia past palaces, mansions and historic fortresses, and pause at panoramic Çamlıca Hill for memorable photographs. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. This evening you may add an optional Turkish Night dinner show with live music and dancing. Overnight in Istanbul.

After breakfast you have free time until your departure transfer. Depending on your flight, you may wish to enjoy a last walk through the old streets or pick up souvenirs before we transfer you to the airport for your flight home, at the end of an unforgettable Istanbul city break.
