My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
Our daily Pamukkale tour from Didim takes you inland from the Aegean coast to one of the most extraordinary landscapes in Turkey, where brilliant white mineral terraces spill down a hillside above the Denizli plain. This guided day tour combines the natural wonder of the travertines with the ruins of Hierapolis, an ancient spa city listed by UNESCO as both a cultural and a natural World Heritage Site.
Pamukkale, whose name translates as Cotton Castle, was shaped over thousands of years by springs rising from a cliff roughly 200 metres above the valley. The water emerges at about 35 degrees Celsius and carries dissolved calcium bicarbonate; as it releases carbon dioxide, limestone settles out and builds petrified cascades and shallow basins that glow white in the sun. Directly above the terraces lies Hierapolis, established by the kings of Pergamon as a healing resort and later expanded by the Romans. Its streets, baths, temples and monumental theatre remain impressively preserved, and the huge necropolis, where some tombs are as large as small houses, shows how many visitors came here in search of a cure.
Inside the ancient city you may also bathe in the thermal Cleopatra Pool among sunken marble columns; entry to the pool is paid separately, and your guide will explain the details. On the return leg there is a short stop to see local Turkish crafts such as leather, textiles, onyx, jewellery or Turkish delight. This Pamukkale day trip suits travellers who want to see the highlights of inland Aegean Turkey in a single comfortable day, with transfers from and back to your hotel in Didim.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis Programme Your day starts with a morning pickup from your hotel in Didim, followed by a scenic drive inland in an air-conditioned coach towards Denizli. On arrival at Pamukkale, your English-speaking guide leads you through the ancient city of Hierapolis, the spa town founded by the Attalid dynasty of Pergamon. Highlights include the vast necropolis with its more than 1,200 sarcophagi, the monumental Great Theatre, the Roman baths, the Temple of Apollo, the burial place of St. Philip and the museum set within the old gymnasium area. Afterwards you have time on the dazzling white travertine terraces, where warm spring water flows over layers of limestone created over countless centuries. Those who wish can swim in the thermal Cleopatra Pool for an extra fee. Lunch is served during the tour. Before heading back, there is some free time to browse traditional Turkish handicrafts such as leather goods, textiles, onyx, jewellery and Turkish delight. The coach departs for Didim at around 15:30 to 16:30, and you are dropped off at your hotel in the evening.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
