My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
Our daily Didim cooking tour is a relaxed, flavour-filled day tour in which you learn to prepare classic Aegean dishes with a professional cook at a local restaurant, then sit down to enjoy the meal you have made. Departing from Didim with hotel pickup, this daily excursion is a lovely change of pace from beaches and ruins and gives you recipes to take home.
Didim is best known for its coastline and the Temple of Apollo at Didyma, but the district also has a proud kitchen built on olive oil, garden produce, seafood and fruit. Tarhana is one of the oldest staples of Anatolian cooking, a soup base made from fermented grain, yoghurt and vegetables that is dried and stored for winter. Vine leaves stuffed with rice and spices and dressed in olive oil, known locally as zeytinyagli sarma, are a fixture of every Aegean table, while fresh fish reflects the town's seaside setting. To finish, you prepare a fig dessert, a local favourite that uses one of the region's signature fruits.
Your guide accompanies you throughout, explaining ingredients and kitchen techniques in English, and lunch is the meal you cook together. Afterwards there is free time in the town centre before the transfer back to your hotel. This Didim day trip suits couples, families and anyone curious about Turkish food culture; no previous cooking experience is needed.

Didim Cooking Class Programme After breakfast at your hotel, you are collected in Didim and driven in an air-conditioned vehicle to a local restaurant where your professional Turkish cooking lesson takes place. With the help of the cook and your English-speaking guide, you learn how the district's well-loved dishes are prepared from start to finish. The menu begins with tarhana soup, followed by vine leaves stuffed with rice and spices and cooked in olive oil, and fresh fish in the Aegean style. You then make a fig dessert, a sweet that is prepared in many homes across the Didim area. Once everything is ready, you sit down together and enjoy the dishes you have cooked as your lunch. In the afternoon you are taken to Didim town centre for some free time to walk around and shop. At the end of the day you are dropped back at your hotel.

It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
