The Yedigoller National Park day trip from Ankara takes you away from the capital's traffic into one of the loveliest woodland landscapes of northern Turkey. In the mountains of Bolu province, seven small lakes lie strung along a valley of pine and beech, linked by streams and little waterfalls. This guided day tour covers the walk between all seven, a relaxed picnic lunch and the best lookout points, with hotel pick-up and drop-off in central Ankara.
Yedigoller, literally the Seven Lakes, is a protected forest area in which Buyukgol, Deringol, Seringol, Nazligol, Sazligol, Kurugol and Incegol follow one another down the valley. The woodland around them shelters wildlife and a rich bird life, and the park is especially photogenic in autumn, from September to November, when the beech leaves turn gold and red. Walking is easy to moderate and suitable for most ages.
As a daily excursion this is a long but rewarding outing: the drive takes around three hours or more in each direction, and the park is usually cooler than Ankara, so bring a jacket, comfortable shoes, water and a camera. Toilets, picnic tables and a snack cafe are available inside the park. For travellers looking for a nature-focused daily tour from Ankara, the Yedigoller day trip is a perfect contrast to the city's museums and monuments.

Yedigoller Seven Lakes Programme At around 06:30 you are collected from your hotel in central Ankara (Kizilay, Tunali, Cankaya or Sihhiye areas) and meet your guide aboard an air-conditioned vehicle for the drive north into the Bolu mountains. You reach Yedigoller National Park at about 10:00 and, after entering the park, set off on a guided walk that visits all seven lakes in turn: Buyukgol, Deringol, Seringol, Nazligol, Sazligol, Kurugol and Incegol, with pauses for photographs and quiet moments among the trees. Around 12:30 you stop at the picnic area for a lunch box of sandwich, fruit and dessert, served with complimentary tea; a barbecue lunch can be arranged as an optional upgrade. In the early afternoon the group visits the Kapankaya terrace, Atmaca and Ayi Kaya, viewpoints that look out over the wooded valley. From about 15:00 you have free time to relax by a lake, sip tea in a forest cafe or carry on walking at your own pace. The return journey starts at 16:00, and you are dropped back at your hotel in Ankara at approximately 19:00.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
