The first stop is St. Nicholas Island, also called Gemiler Island, home to the ruins of one of the oldest churches dedicated to Saint Nicholas and to early Christian remains scattered among the pines, with fine views over the surrounding bays. The boat then heads to Butterfly Valley, a dramatic canyon framed by high cliffs and reachable only by sea, where rare butterfly species and exotic plants thrive; you can stroll into the valley or relax on its secluded beach. Next comes the Blue Cave, where sunlight filtering through the water creates an unusual blue glow, perfect for photos and a swim.
The cruise continues to Gemile Beach and Cold Water Bay, both with clear, calm water for swimming and snorkelling and plenty of time for sunbathing. Lunch is a freshly grilled barbecue served while the boat lies at anchor in one of the bays, and the afternoon is a leisurely sail back to Oludeniz. Oludeniz Boat Cruise Programme In the morning your guide meets you in your hotel lobby and you are transferred to Oludeniz harbour, where the boat is waiting. Once everyone is aboard, you set sail across the clear waters of the Mediterranean. The first stop is St. Nicholas Island, where you can walk among ancient ruins, including the remains of one of the earliest churches dedicated to Saint Nicholas, and take in panoramic views of the bays below. The boat then cruises along the cliffs to Butterfly Valley, a lush canyon that can only be reached from the sea. Rare butterflies and unusual plants live here, and there is time for a short nature walk or to relax on the pebble beach. Next you sail into the Blue Cave, where light reflected from the seabed gives the water a striking blue glow; it is a lovely spot for photographs and a refreshing dip. Further stops at Gemile Beach and Cold Water Bay offer crystal-clear water for swimming and snorkelling, as well as time to sunbathe on deck. A barbecue lunch with fresh local flavours is served on board while the boat is anchored in one of Fethiye's prettiest bays. In the afternoon you cruise back to Oludeniz at a relaxed pace, enjoying the sea breeze, and are then transferred back to your hotel.
