Your cruise begins in Fethiye, where you board the gulet and sail to Butterfly Valley, a sheer-sided canyon famous for its butterflies and turquoise water, with time to swim and hike toward its waterfall. You continue to Ölüdeniz, the celebrated Blue Lagoon, where the adventurous can soar over the coast by paraglider from Babadağ mountain, before anchoring for the night off St Nicholas (Gemile) Island and climbing through its Byzantine ruins for the sunset.
The next day you wake in beautiful Aquarium Bay near Kalkan for a morning swim, then cruise to Kaş, a relaxed fishing town of cafés, boutiques and an ancient theatre, with the option to scuba dive in some of the clearest water in southern Turkey. On the final morning you glide slowly over the protected Sunken City of Kekova, whose 2,000-year-old Lycian ruins shimmer beneath the surface, and stop below the castle of Simena before disembarking at Demre. You meet at the Fethiye office at 09:00 for check-in and board the gulet for a short briefing before the boat leaves Fethiye harbour. The first stop is Butterfly Valley, a dramatic canyon beach where you can swim and, if you wish, hike toward its waterfall. You then sail to Ölüdeniz, the famous Blue Lagoon and the most photographed beach in Turkey, where you can choose to paraglide from Babadağ mountain high above the coast. In the evening the gulet anchors off St Nicholas (Gemile) Island, with time to walk up through its Byzantine ruins and enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight on board.
You wake in the beautiful Aquarium Bay near Kalkan for a morning swim and breakfast, then cruise on to Kaş, a relaxed fishing town known for its cafés, beer gardens, boutiques and unique jewellery, with time to explore the shops and the town's ancient theatre. Here there is the option to scuba dive in some of the clearest water in southern Turkey, from an introductory dive to caves and wrecks for certified divers. The night is spent at anchor in a secluded bay between Kaş and Kekova. Dinner and overnight on board.
After breakfast the gulet cruises slowly over the Sunken City of Kekova, an ancient town submerged by an earthquake almost two thousand years ago; as a protected World Heritage site there is no swimming here, but the Lycian ruins are clearly visible beneath the clear water. The boat then anchors near Kekova to visit Simena Castle, whose summit offers a magical view over the bay. In the afternoon you are transferred to Demre Harbour where the cruise ends, and on to Demre bus station for your onward journey. We hope your cruise was a memorable one.
