My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This camel riding tour from Fethiye, Oludeniz and Hisaronu takes you to Kayakoy, the abandoned stone village known as the Ghost Town, for a relaxed trek on trained, gentle camels suitable for both adults and children. Hotel pick-up, an English-speaking guide and return transport are included, so it is an easy and memorable outing for families and couples staying on the Fethiye coast.
Guests staying on Rhodes can enjoy the Camel Riding Tour as a day trip from the Greek islands to Turkey — from Rhodes the ferry takes about 85 minutes, so the excursion can be planned between the morning and evening sailings. Pickup is at the Fethiye ferry terminal, and the tour is timed so you can catch the return ferry comfortably. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Before the ride begins, your guide shares the story of Kayakoy, once a thriving village of hundreds of stone houses spread across the hillside and left empty in the early twentieth century, which today gives the valley its haunting, timeless atmosphere. You then climb into the saddle and set off on the Kayakoy camel trekking route at a slow, steady pace that even first-time riders find comfortable.
The trail follows narrow paths through green meadows, past traditional village houses, old water wells, cultivated fields and gardens, with the fresh air of the Taurus Mountains all around you. From the height of a camel's back the landscape opens up beautifully, and there are plenty of chances for photographs along the way. After the trek you are driven back to your hotel. Lunch is not included. This short daily excursion is a great choice for children, first-time riders and anyone who wants to see the countryside around Fethiye from a different perspective.

Camel Riding Programme At the scheduled time your tour guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel in Fethiye, Oludeniz or Hisaronu, and you travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Kayakoy, the abandoned settlement better known as the Ghost Town. On arrival your guide gives a short introduction to the history of the village, whose hundreds of empty stone houses still cover the slopes of the valley. You are then introduced to the camels, which are specially trained, calm and docile, making the ride suitable for both adults and children. Once everyone is comfortably seated, the trek sets off from Kayakoy along narrow country paths. The route winds through lush meadows and past traditional village houses, numerous old wells, cultivated fields and gardens, while the clean air of the Taurus Mountains adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The slow rhythm of the camels gives you time to take in the scenery and take photographs of the ruined village and the green valley around it. At the end of the trek you are transferred back to your hotel, where the tour concludes.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
