Spend four unhurried days in Konya, the spiritual heart of Anatolia and the city most closely bound to the memory of the thirteenth-century poet Mevlâna Celâleddin Rumi. Planned in-house by Inca Tour, a TURSAB-licensed operator, and led throughout by an English-speaking guide, this scheduled group tour pairs the great monuments of the Seljuk capital with a genuine taste of its kitchen. At the Mevlâna Museum you stand before Rumi's tomb beneath the famous fluted green dome, walk through the dervish cells and the Semâ-Hâne, and learn how the Mevlevi order shaped the culture of the city. From there the day winds through the İnce Minareli Medrese and the tiled Sırçalı Medrese, and out to the historic mosques and madrasas that still define Konya's skyline.
A full day takes you west to Beyşehir Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Turkey, its surface broken by more than thirty small islets and framed by mountains. On its shore stands the Eşrefoğlu Mosque, built in 1299 and one of the finest surviving wooden-columned mosques in Anatolia, while nearby the Hittite spring-sanctuary of Eflatunpınar recalls a civilisation of the thirteenth century BCE. Between the sightseeing you slow right down for the everyday life of the city: a shopping stroll through Konya's bazaars for spices and sweets, and the chance to visit Çatalhöyük, the 9,000-year-old Neolithic settlement that is one of the oldest towns ever uncovered.
The centrepiece of the week is a hands-on cooking class. Working alongside a local chef, you learn to prepare a selection of classic Konya dishes — the thin, crisp etli ekmek flatbread, slow-baked fırın kebabı and traditional desserts — before sitting down to share the meal you have made. With three nights' hotel accommodation, daily breakfast, a private air-conditioned vehicle and a professional guide, the 4-Day Konya City & Cooking Tour is an easy, authentic introduction to Seljuk history, Mevlevi culture and the flavours of central Anatolia. Prices are per person.

Welcome to Türkiye. On arrival at Konya Airport you are met and privately transferred to your hotel in the city centre. After check-in the rest of the day is free: rest after your journey, or set out on your own to the lively pedestrian streets around Alâeddin Hill and the Mevlâna district, where the aroma of fresh bread and grilled meat drifts from every corner. Your guide confirms the plan for the days ahead. Overnight in Konya.
After breakfast you begin with the Mevlâna Museum, the turquoise-domed mausoleum of Rumi and the former lodge of the Mevlevi dervishes, with its Matbah kitchen, Tilâvet Chamber and the Semâ-Hâne hall of the whirling ceremony. You continue to the elegant Seljuk İnce Minareli Medrese and the tiled Sırçalı Medrese, and to one of Konya's historic imperial mosques. In the afternoon you drive out to Beyşehir Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Turkey, dotted with islets, pausing at the 1299 wooden-columned Eşrefoğlu Mosque and the Hittite shrine of Eflatunpınar. Lunch is served at an authentic local restaurant. Overnight in Konya.
Today is given over to the Konya kitchen. At a local restaurant you join a hands-on cooking class led by a chef, learning to prepare regional specialities such as etli ekmek and fırın kebabı, then enjoy the lunch you have made together. Afterwards there is free time for a shopping stroll through the city's bazaars, with your guide on hand to help you find spices, dried fruit, sweets and souvenirs. Overnight in Konya.
After breakfast and check-out you are privately transferred to Konya Airport for your onward journey, with time to reflect on a short but rich stay among Seljuk monuments, Mevlevi memory and the flavours of central Anatolia. End of the tour.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
