The daily Cappadocia Yellow Tour is a full guided day tour that combines a valley hike, rock-cut churches, an old cave village and one of the region's great underground cities. Starting from Cappadocia with hotel pickup and lunch included, it is a well-balanced day for nature lovers, photographers and anyone curious about the area's Byzantine past.
Red Valley owes its name to the warm tones of its tuff, eroded into short fairy chimneys whose shapes often recall animals. Neighbouring Rose Valley turns pink at dusk; along its path, among orchards and greenery, lie the Three Cross Church, Quince Church, Pillared Church, the Church of Joachim and Anna and the Church of St. Agathangelus, carved into soft volcanic rock and decorated with frescoes from the region's monastic era. Cavusin was home to early Christian communities, and its rock houses remain remarkably intact.
In Pigeon Valley, dovecotes cut into the cliffs recall a time when pigeon droppings fertilised local fields and egg yolk was mixed into the paints used for church frescoes. The final stop, Kaymakli, is a vast underground refuge that could shelter up to 5,000 people, with kitchens, storerooms, living areas and ventilation shafts; red arrows mark the way out and blue arrows lead deeper. This Cappadocia day trip involves some walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended. The daily excursion is fully guided in English, entrance fees mentioned in the programme are covered, and vegetarian or halal lunch options are available, making this daily tour an easy way to see the region's highlights.

Red & Rose Valleys, Cavusin & Kaymakli Programme After pickup from your hotel, the day opens in Red Valley, also known as Kizilcukur, where low, naturally sculpted rock formations in shades of red create one of Cappadocia's most photogenic scenes. From here you set off on foot into Rose Valley, or Gulludere, following a trail of around four kilometres through fruit trees and green hollows. Along the way your guide leads you to five churches hewn from the volcanic rock: the Three Cross Church, Quince Church, Pillared Church, the Church of Joachim and Anna and the Church of St. Agathangelus, each holding old frescoes and traces of monastic life. The tour then continues to Cavusin Village, where you walk among cave homes once lived in by early Christians. Next comes Pigeon Valley, whose cliffs are dotted with dovecotes and whose viewpoints offer wide panoramas across the region. After lunch at a local restaurant, with vegetarian and halal choices available, you descend into Kaymakli Underground City to explore its kitchens, storage rooms, living quarters and air shafts on the levels open to visitors. At the end of the visit you are driven back to your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
