My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
Our daily jet boat tour from Cappadocia swaps the region's famous valleys and rock formations for something completely different: a fast, splashing ride on the Kizilirmak River at Avanos. This guided day tour is short, lively and suitable for all ages, which makes it an easy addition to a holiday that is otherwise full of museums, cave churches and early balloon mornings.
The Kizilirmak, whose name means Red River, is the longest river flowing entirely within Turkey, and its reddish water takes its colour from the clay of the surrounding land. At Avanos the river runs right past the town, so the jet boat leaves straight from the riverside. Once on the water, the pilot opens the throttle, glides along the current and then breaks the rhythm with full 360-degree spins and controlled drifts that send spray over the deck. Expect plenty of laughter and a few wet sleeves.
Because this daily excursion takes only a few hours, it combines well with a morning or afternoon of sightseeing elsewhere. Think of it as an Avanos day trip with an adrenaline twist rather than a long journey. Bring a light jacket or a change of top in cooler months, keep phones in a zipped pocket and wear comfortable shoes for stepping on and off the boat. Lunch is not part of the programme, so plan your meal before or after the ride.

Avanos & Kizilirmak Jet Boat Programme Your driver and English-speaking guide collect you from your hotel in Cappadocia and drive you in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to Avanos, the riverside town that sits on the banks of the Kizilirmak. After a short welcome and safety briefing at the jetty, you take your seat in the jet boat and head out onto the Red River. The ride mixes smooth, fast stretches along the water with the moments everyone waits for: tight 360-degree spins and sideways drifts that throw up spray and plenty of cheers. Between the thrills there is time to look at the river banks and the gentle scenery around Avanos. The activity is suitable for families with children as well as adults looking for a bit of speed. When the ride ends and everyone is back on dry land, you return to the vehicle and are driven back to your hotel, with the rest of the day free for your own plans.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
