This full-day rafting tour from Dalyan swaps the calm lagoon for the lively waters of the Dalaman River, with hotel transfers, professional instruction, all equipment and a barbecued trout lunch included. Halfway through, the crews pull ashore beside the river for a well-earned barbecue lunch of fresh trout. The afternoon section builds towards a final spectacular rapid, the highlight of the run, before the boats are hauled out of the water. Transfers back to Dalyan get you to your hotel at around 5 pm. Dalyan Rafting Programme We collect you from your hotel in Dalyan in the morning and drive through the countryside of the Dalaman region to the river base. There you are fitted with safety equipment and paddles and meet your instructors, who explain safety rules, commands and basic paddling technique. Guests are divided between larger rafts carrying six to ten people and two-seater canoes. The first part of the run is a gentle, quiet stretch of the river where each crew practises steering and paddling in rhythm. Once everyone feels confident, the rafts point downstream towards the faster water and ride a series of swooping standing waves, with the boat rising and dipping beneath you and plenty of splashes along the way. After the first section the crews come ashore at a riverside spot for a relaxing break and a barbecue lunch of freshly grilled trout. In the afternoon we return to the water for the second half of the descent, which ends with the most spectacular rapid of the day before the boats are pulled out of the river. After changing into dry clothes, you board the vehicle for the return journey and arrive back at your hotel in Dalyan at approximately 5 pm.
