The Dalyan Moonlight Cruise on Koycegiz Lake is an evening day tour for travellers who want to see the quieter side of the Dalyan delta once the daytime boats have gone home. This daily excursion starts from Dalyan at 19:00, glides through the reed-lined channels towards the lake and lets you watch the sun disappear behind the hills before dinner is grilled and the night sky takes over.
Koycegiz Lake is one of the largest lakes on the southwest coast of Turkey and is linked to the sea by the winding Dalyan River. The lake and the delta form part of the Koycegiz-Dalyan Specially Protected Area, a wetland known for its reed beds, sweetgum forests and rich birdlife. In the evening the light softens over the surrounding mountains, the water turns still and the calls of herons and other water birds accompany the boat, which is why this daily Dalyan tour is so popular with photographers, couples and families alike.
Once the boat anchors, you can slip into the water or simply relax with a drink while the sun sets. After dinner the evening continues at a gentle pace until around midnight, with time to talk, swim again in the dark and look for constellations far from city lights. As a Koycegiz Lake day trip it is less about sightseeing and more about atmosphere, making it an easy add-on to a busier holiday.
Practical notes: pickup from your accommodation and the return transfer are included, as are tea, coffee and drinking water. Extra beverages are paid on board. Bring swimwear, a towel and a light layer for later in the night. This tour from Dalyan is suitable for guests aged 11 and over.

Koycegiz Lake Sunset & Moonlight Programme Your English-speaking guide collects you from your hotel in Dalyan in the early evening and brings you to the riverside, where the boat sets off at around 19:00 once everyone is aboard. The first part of the evening is a calm cruise of about half an hour along the Dalyan channels towards Koycegiz Lake, with reed beds on both sides, birdsong in the air and plenty of chances for photographs as the light changes. The boat anchors on the lake so you can swim in the clear, cool water; if you prefer to stay dry, find a spot on deck with a tea or coffee and watch the sun drop behind the hills. After the swim and sunset the crew lights the grill and serves an open buffet barbecue dinner with fish, chicken or meatballs, followed by fresh fruit. Crab fishing gear is available for anyone who wants to try their luck. The evening then continues in a relaxed mood until around midnight, with the option of a night swim under the stars and time to chat by the lakeshore. Afterwards the boat returns and you are transferred back to your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
