From Cappadocia
This daily Cappadocia belly dancing class is a daily cultural tour with a twist and a different kind of day tour: instead of sightseeing, you spend the day learning the steps, posture and rhythm of Oriental dance with an English-speaking instructor team in Cappadocia. Open to beginners and to anyone who has danced before, this daily excursion is a playful, confidence-building way to connect with a living tradition of the region.
Belly dance is known in Arabic as Raqs Sharqi, which simply means Oriental dance. Its roots are commonly traced to Egypt and the wider Middle East, where women once danced to celebrate life, fertility and the arrival of children, and the style later travelled through Anatolia and beyond. Today it is performed at weddings, festivals and family gatherings, and it remains part of the entertainment culture you will also see at Turkish night shows in Cappadocia. Learning a few basic movements gives you a far richer understanding of what you are watching when you see a professional dancer on stage.
Beyond its cultural value, Oriental dance is an enjoyable form of exercise: it works the core and back muscles, improves posture and coordination, and encourages a relaxed, positive relationship with your own body. No special figure, age or experience is needed. This Cappadocia day trip is a good choice for a rest day between valley hikes or balloon flights, and a fun activity for friends or couples travelling from Cappadocia. Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in and bring a bottle of water.

Cappadocia Belly Dance Class Programme Your day is dedicated to Oriental dance in Cappadocia. Transport in an air-conditioned vehicle brings the group to the venue, where your English-speaking team introduces the background of Raqs Sharqi, the Arabic name for Oriental dance, and explains how it spread across the Middle East and Anatolia. The class begins with a gentle warm-up and posture work, then moves on step by step to the signature movements: hip drops and circles, shoulder shimmies, flowing arm patterns and simple travelling steps. The instructor shows how each movement follows the music, so you learn to listen to the rhythm as much as to copy the steps. Nobody needs a particular body type, age or experience; the aim is to enjoy the dance, build confidence and feel more at ease in your own body. Lunch is included during the day, giving you time to rest and chat with fellow participants before practising the sequences again. By the end of the session you will be able to combine the basic steps into a short routine before transport takes you back.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
