My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
From Cappadocia
The Cappadocia camel safari is a two-hour guided ride that offers a gentle, traditional way to see the region's extraordinary scenery. Choose a sunrise or sunset departure, join a small camel caravan near Ortahisar and enjoy wide views over the Red and Rose Valleys from a different height and pace than any vehicle can give.
Meskenler Valley lies close to Ortahisar, a village known for its towering rock castle, once used as a lookout and storage place carved into the volcanic stone. From the trail, the land opens up towards the Red Valley and Rose Valley, named for the warm pink and reddish tones that streaks of volcanic tuff take on as the light changes. At dawn and in the evening these colours are at their richest, which is why this short daily excursion is timed for sunrise or sunset.
Camel trekking has a long history across Anatolia, where caravans once carried goods along trade routes, and this ride is a relaxed introduction to that heritage rather than a demanding trek. As a day tour add-on it fits easily around other activities, making it a good Cappadocia day trip for couples and families with children aged 11 and above. Transfers start from Cappadocia hotels and bring you straight back afterwards. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a light jacket for the cooler hours and keep your camera ready. Meals are not part of this daily tour.

Meskenler Valley Camel Safari Programme Depending on whether you choose the sunrise or the sunset option, your guide collects you from your hotel in Cappadocia and drives you to the starting point of the caravan. On arrival the team gives a short safety briefing explaining how to mount, sit and dismount comfortably, and then introduces you to the camels that will carry you during the ride. Before setting off you are handed a traditional hat to wear along the way, adding a fun cultural touch and a nice detail for your photos. The caravan then moves slowly towards Meskenler Valley in the Ortahisar district, following a route with open views across the Cappadocian landscape. As the light shifts, the Red Valley and Rose Valley form a colourful backdrop, and the guides pause at good spots so you can take pictures from the saddle. The ride continues at an easy pace in the direction of Ortahisar and its rock castle, letting you enjoy the quiet of the valley at the gentlest time of day. When the camel walk comes to an end, you are driven back and dropped off at your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
