My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
A Turkish cooking class in Patara is a hands-on way to understand everyday life in Turkey, and this full-day tour from Antalya takes you to a traditional village on the Lycian coast to cook alongside a local host. You prepare Turkish dishes, enjoy an included lunch and then spend the rest of the day enjoying the slow pace of village life. Hotel pick-up, transport and an English-speaking guide are included, so this daily excursion is entirely stress-free.
Patara lies on the western edge of the Lycian coast, in a quiet rural area known for its farmland, long sandy shore and the ruins of an ancient Lycian city that was once one of the region's leading ports. Food here follows the seasons: olive oil, fresh vegetables, herbs, flatbreads and yoghurt play a central role, and recipes are passed down at home rather than learned from books. Cooking with a local is therefore one of the most genuine ways to learn about Turkish hospitality and culture.
This Patara day trip is ideal for food lovers, couples and families who want something more personal than sightseeing. The class is relaxed and no cooking experience is needed. Drinks are not included, so bring some cash for extras. Expect a long drive from Antalya, as Patara is some distance along the coast; the return time can be arranged with your guide. A daily Patara tour from Antalya like this one leaves you with new recipes and a real taste of village life.

Patara Cooking Class Programme Your guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel in Antalya in the morning, and you set off in an air-conditioned vehicle towards Patara on the Lycian coast. On arrival in this traditional Turkish village you are welcomed by a local host who leads the cooking class. Working side by side, you learn how everyday Turkish dishes are prepared at home, from choosing and preparing the ingredients to the small techniques that give the food its flavour, while the guide helps with translation and explains the customs behind each dish. When the class is over, lunch is served in the village. Afterwards the rest of the day is yours to spend in the village, taking in the countryside, chatting with locals and enjoying the unhurried rhythm of rural life on the coast. At the time agreed with your guide, you are driven back to your hotel in Antalya.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
