My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This daily Oludeniz tour from Patara links three of the most rewarding stops on the Lycian coast in one easy day: the cliff-cut Tomb of Amyntas above Fethiye, the abandoned stone village of Kayakoy and the famous turquoise lagoon beach of Oludeniz. Lunch at a village restaurant is included, so you can focus on the history and the scenery while your guide takes care of the details.
Fethiye stands on the site of ancient Telmessos, and its best-known monument is the Tomb of Amyntas, carved in the 4th century BC with an Ionic temple facade cut straight into the rock. The inscription names Amyntas, son of Hermapias, clearly a figure of high rank. Kayakoy, once called Levissi, was a lively Greek-speaking town until the population exchange of 1923; today hundreds of empty stone houses and a few churches climb the hillside, creating one of the most atmospheric open-air sites in Turkey.
The day ends at Oludeniz, whose sheltered lagoon and long pebble beach are framed by the slopes of Babadag mountain. The water here is famously clear and calm, perfect for a relaxed swim after a morning of sightseeing. On this day excursion bring swimwear, a towel, sun cream and comfortable shoes for the uneven paths of Kayakoy.
As a daily excursion with hotel transfers, guiding and lunch arranged, it is a practical way to see the highlights around Fethiye without driving the mountain roads yourself, and a rewarding day tour from Patara for travellers of every age.

Fethiye, Kayakoy & Oludeniz Programme In the morning your guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel in Patara and the drive west toward Fethiye begins in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. The first stop is the group of Lycian rock tombs above the town, where the elegant Tomb of Amyntas was cut into the cliff for a man of high standing. There is time to look closely at the carved facade and to take photographs of the wide view across Fethiye and its bay. The tour then continues into the hills to Kayakoy, the deserted village often called the Ghost Town. Your guide leads you among more than a hundred ruined stone houses and points out the churches that sit at different levels of the slope, explaining the story of the people who once lived here. Lunch is served at a local restaurant right in the centre of the village. In the afternoon you head down to Oludeniz, where you can unwind on the beach and swim in the clear Mediterranean water. On the way back there are a few short stops for photographs before you are dropped off at your hotel in Patara.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
