Babadag Paragliding & Oludeniz Programme After pickup from your hotel in Patara, you travel west by air-conditioned vehicle to Fethiye, widely regarded as the paragliding capital of Turkey. From the Oludeniz area you are taken up Babadag Mountain to the launch point, at an altitude of roughly 1,900 metres. Here your tandem pilot fits your harness, explains the take-off and answers any questions. There is no jumping involved: you walk or jog forward a few steps together and the canopy gently lifts you off the ground. Once airborne, you float above forested slopes and cliffs with sweeping views of the Mediterranean, the Blue Lagoon and Butterfly Valley. After a flight of about 25 to 30 minutes, your pilot brings you down for a smooth landing on Oludeniz Beach. Time on the beach allows you to relax, enjoy the seafront and buy lunch if you wish. Later in the day you are driven back to your hotel in Patara.
