My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This daily Pamukkale tour from Kusadasi links the Aegean coast with one of Turkey's most unusual landscapes. Over a full day tour you travel inland to the gleaming white terraces of Pamukkale, the Cotton Castle, and explore the ruins of Hierapolis, the Greco-Roman spa city built right above them.
Arriving in Kuşadası on a cruise ship? The Pamukkale Tour is one of the shore excursions we regularly arrange for cruise guests calling at the port of Kuşadası. For cruise guests we can arrange pickup at the cruise terminal where the shared tour schedule allows; if your time in port is short, we recommend the private version of this tour, which is timed to your ship. Tell us how many hours your ship stays in port and we will confirm that the full programme fits comfortably. Send us your ship name and the date of your call in Kuşadası and we will confirm availability.
Holidaying on Samos or Patmos? The Pamukkale Tour is an easy day trip from the Greek islands: take the morning ferry to Kuşadası, join the tour, and sail back in the evening (from Samos the ferry takes 45 minutes; from Patmos the ferry takes about 3 hours). We meet you at the Kuşadası ferry port and time the programme to the ferry schedule. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Pamukkale owes its shape to warm, mineral-rich springs. As the water flows down the hillside it releases calcium carbonate, which hardens into white shelves and shallow basins that look like frozen waterfalls. The name means cotton castle in Turkish, and together with Hierapolis the site is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Walking barefoot across the terraces and dipping your feet in the pools is part of the experience.
Hierapolis was founded in the Hellenistic period and flourished under Rome as a healing centre, drawing visitors to its thermal waters for centuries. Among its ruins you find colonnaded streets, city gates, bath buildings and one of the largest necropolises of Anatolia, all overlooking the valley. Your guide explains how the city lived around its springs and why so many came here in search of a cure.
This daily excursion includes hotel pickup and return in Kusadasi, an air-conditioned vehicle, lunch and entrance fees for the sites in the programme. Bring swimwear if you would like to enjoy the spring water, and comfortable clothing for an easy walk.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis Programme Your guide collects you from the lobby of your Kusadasi hotel in the morning, and the air-conditioned vehicle heads inland towards Denizli. You reach Pamukkale at around 12:00 and sit down for a lunch break that lasts until about 13:30. In the afternoon the visit begins with the ruins of Hierapolis, the ancient spa city on the plateau, where your guide shows you its streets and monuments and tells the story of its thermal springs. You then walk out onto the brilliant white calcium terraces of Pamukkale, the famous Cotton Castle, to admire this natural phenomenon up close and take photographs over the valley. There is also the chance to relax and lie in the warm waters of the natural springs before the group gathers again. In the late afternoon you begin the return drive, and the day ends with your drop-off at your hotel in Kusadasi.

It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
