From Kusadasi
This daily Ephesus and Sirince tour from Selcuk brings together the great ruins of Ephesus, the holy places linked to early Christianity and a charming village in the hills above, all in one unhurried, fully guided day tour. Your guide meets you at your hotel lobby and transport in an air-conditioned coach is included from start to finish.
Cruise passengers docking in Kuşadası can book the Ephesus & Sirince Tour as a convenient Kuşadası shore excursion during their port call. With a private vehicle and guide, the day is timed to your ship’s arrival and departure, so you can enjoy the sights without worrying about the all-aboard deadline. Tell us how many hours your ship stays in port and we will confirm that the full programme fits comfortably. Just tell us the ship and the day it calls at Kuşadası — we take care of the rest.
The Ephesus & Sirince Tour is also arranged for visitors coming over from Samos or Patmos for the day. Catch the early ferry to Kuşadası (from Samos the ferry takes 45 minutes; from Patmos the ferry takes about 3 hours) and you will be back on the island the same evening. Our team welcomes you at the Kuşadası ferry port and makes sure the day ends in time for your return crossing. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Ephesus was founded in the 10th century BC and grew into one of the most important cities of the ancient world, and archaeologists are still uncovering it today. Walking its marble avenues you pass the elegant Temple of Hadrian, the Roman bathhouse known as the Baths of Scholastica and the two-storey facade of the Library of Celsus, before reaching the Theatre carved into the slope. The Apostle Paul spent about three years in Ephesus preaching to its people and later addressed a letter to the church here. Nearby stands the Temple of Artemis, known to the Romans as the Temple of Diana, whose fame once spread across the Mediterranean.
The Christian story continues at the Basilica of St. John and at the House of the Virgin Mary, a quiet pilgrimage site in the wooded hills. In the afternoon this Ephesus day trip climbs to Sirince, where you can stroll the lanes and taste the local fruit wines at your own pace. This daily excursion suits all ages; lunch is not included, so bring cash for food and drinks, as well as comfortable shoes for the uneven ancient paving.

Ephesus & Sirince Village Programme In the morning your guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel in Selcuk and the group sets off for the ancient city of Ephesus. Here you follow the marble streets of a city first settled in the 10th century BC, where excavation work still continues. Your guide brings the ruins to life as you pass the Scholastica bath complex, the Library of Celsus with its striking facade, the finely decorated Temple of Hadrian and the great Theatre, and explains the role Ephesus played in the life of the Apostle Paul, who preached here for three years. The tour continues to the remains of the Temple of Artemis, once ranked among the ancient world's seven great wonders, and to the Basilica of St. John. You then visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a peaceful shrine set among pine-covered hills. In the afternoon the group drives up to Sirince Village, a picturesque hillside community famous for its grape and fruit wines, where you can explore at your own pace and enjoy a tasting if you wish. At the end of the day you are transferred back to your hotel in Selcuk. Lunch is not included, so you can buy a meal along the way at your own expense.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
