From Kusadasi
This daily Dalyan tour from Selcuk takes you south from the Ephesus region to one of the most scenic corners of the Turkish Aegean coast, where a reed-lined river winds between cliffs and wetlands towards the open sea. It is a relaxed, fully guided day tour that combines a boat trip, a natural mud bath and a beach afternoon, with hotel pickup and return in an air-conditioned coach.
Arriving in Kuşadası on a cruise ship? The Dalyan Tour is one of the shore excursions we regularly arrange for cruise guests calling at the port of Kuşadası. Because it runs as a private tour, we plan the timing around your ship: your guide and driver meet you at the cruise terminal, and the programme is adjusted to your all-aboard time. Tell us how many hours your ship stays in port and we will confirm that the full programme fits comfortably. Send us your ship name and the date of your call in Kuşadası and we will confirm availability.
Holidaying on Samos or Patmos? The Dalyan Tour is an easy day trip from the Greek islands: take the morning ferry to Kuşadası, join the tour, and sail back in the evening (from Samos the ferry takes 45 minutes; from Patmos the ferry takes about 3 hours). We meet you at the Kuşadası ferry port with your private guide and vehicle and time the programme to the ferry schedule. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Dalyan began life as a modest fishing village, and its very name refers to the traditional fish traps that are still set across the river. From the harbour your boat follows the delta past the Lycian Rock Tombs, carved in antiquity by the people of nearby Kaunos to honour their rulers. Seen from the water, the columned facades cut into the rock make one of the most memorable sights of this Dalyan day trip. Next comes the fun part of the day: the sulphur-rich mud baths, where guests coat themselves from head to toe and let the mud dry before rinsing off, a treatment long believed to be good for the skin.
The daily excursion ends on Iztuzu Beach, a protected strip of sand between the river mouth and the sea where loggerhead turtles come ashore to nest. Lunch is not included, so bring some cash for meals and drinks, along with swimwear, a towel and clothes you do not mind getting muddy. The drive from Selcuk to Dalyan is long, so expect an early start and a return to your hotel in the evening.

Dalyan Delta, Mud Baths & Iztuzu Beach Programme Your day starts with a pickup from your hotel in Selcuk, followed by a scenic drive south of roughly three and a half hours to Dalyan in the province of Mugla. Along the way the group stops at a Turkish gold shop, where you can see locally crafted jewellery. In Dalyan you walk along the riverside harbour, where rows of traditional wooden boats wait for passengers, and board your boat for a cruise through the Dalyan Delta. As the boat glides between the reeds, your guide points out the Lycian Rock Tombs carved into the cliffs above the river and explains the story of the ancient people who created them. The cruise continues to the natural sulphur mud baths, where you can cover yourself in mud, let it dry in the sun and then wash it away for a soothing natural skin treatment. Later in the day you reach Iztuzu Beach, a long sandy shore where loggerhead sea turtles nest, and enjoy some time to swim and relax by the sea. In the afternoon the group heads back to the coach for the return drive, and you are dropped off at your hotel in Selcuk in the evening. Lunch is not part of the programme, so meals can be purchased along the way at your own expense.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
