My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
The daily Ayvalik tour from Bergama takes you north along the Aegean coast to one of Turkey's most charming seaside towns, famous for its olive groves, stone houses and island views. This fully guided day tour starts with hotel pick-up in Bergama (ancient Pergamon) and combines panoramic viewpoints, Cunda Island and the historic centre of Ayvalik in one relaxed daily excursion, returning you to your hotel in the early evening.
Ayvalik grew in the 18th and 19th centuries as a prosperous Greek Orthodox town built on olive oil and soap. After the population exchange of 1923 many of its churches took on new roles, which is why the Saatli Mosque, with its clock tower, and the Cinarli Mosque, named after the plane trees beside it, still show their church architecture. The Ayazma Church, also called Phaneromeni, is one of the town's surviving sacred buildings. Across a causeway, Cunda Island, also known as Alibey, preserves a dense quarter of stone mansions; its Taksiyarhis Church was carefully restored and now serves as a museum.
The day ends at Seytan Sofrasi, the Devil's Table, a rocky hilltop whose hollow in the stone is linked to a local legend, overlooking a sea scattered with small islands. This Ayvalik day trip is easy-paced and suits all ages; lunch is not included, so you can choose a fish restaurant or cafe during free time.

Ayvalik & Cunda Island Programme In the morning you are collected from your hotel in Bergama and travel with your guide towards Ayvalik. The first stop is Cennet Tepesi, Paradise Hill, where your guide gives an overview of the region, the town and the islands spread out below. From there you cross to Cunda Island for a walk through its lanes, learning about the local stone architecture and visiting the Taksiyarhis Church Museum, a restored Orthodox church that has stood for well over a century. Free time follows for browsing the island's small shops and cafes and having lunch at your own expense. Back on the mainland, the tour continues into the centre of Ayvalik, where you see the Saatli Mosque, the Cinarli Mosque and the Ayazma (Phaneromeni) Church, all reminders of the town's layered past. You then visit Kucukkoy Square before driving up to Seytan Sofrasi to enjoy a coffee with a wide view over the Aegean islands. Between around 17:00 and 18:00 the tour finishes and you are driven back to your hotel in Bergama.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
