My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This daily Pergamon cooking lesson tour from Bergama takes you into a local kitchen in the heart of town, where friendly Turkish cooks show you step by step how the region's favourite dishes are made. Instead of only sampling the food, you prepare every recipe with your own hands and then sit down to enjoy the lunch you have cooked. It is a relaxed daily tour and a delicious day tour for food lovers, complete beginners and anyone who wants to take a genuine taste of Turkey home.
Bergama is the modern town that grew up around ancient Pergamon, once the capital of a powerful Hellenistic kingdom, and today it is also known for its fertile valley and hearty home cooking. On this daily excursion the focus is firmly on the table: your English-speaking guide stays with you throughout, explains the ingredients and the stories behind each recipe, and helps you follow the cook's techniques. The menu combines a savoury chickpea dish, the much-loved Bergama Tava and a sweet halva traditionally prepared during Ramadan, giving you a balanced picture of everyday Aegean flavours.
After lunch there is free time in the town centre to browse local shops and pick up souvenirs or kitchen ingredients to recreate the dishes at home. The pace is gentle, no special fitness is needed and travellers of all ages are welcome, which makes this Bergama day trip ideal for families and couples alike. The tour returns you to your hotel in Bergama in the late afternoon, roughly between 17:00 and 18:00.

Bergama Cooking Lesson & Shopping Programme Your day starts with a pickup from your hotel in Bergama, followed by a short drive in an air-conditioned vehicle to a local restaurant in the city centre, where your cooking lesson takes place. Guided by your English-speaking tour leader and a local cook, you are introduced to the flavours of the Bergama region and learn how to prepare three traditional dishes from start to finish: a chickpea flan, the town's famous Bergama Tava of meat served with local rice, and the sweet Ramadan halva. You chop, stir and season everything yourself, picking up practical tips along the way, and once the cooking is done you sit down together to enjoy the lunch you have prepared. In the afternoon you continue into the town centre for free time, perfect for shopping, strolling and choosing a few souvenirs or local products to take home. Around 17:00 to 18:00 the group sets off on the return journey and you are dropped back at your hotel in Bergama.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
