My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
The daily Perge, Aspendos and Side tour from Manavgat brings together three of the finest ancient cities of Pamphylia in one relaxed, fully guided daily tour. With hotel pickup in Manavgat, an English-speaking guide and entrance fees included, this day tour is an easy way to understand the Greek and Roman past of the Antalya coast.
Perge was the leading city of Pamphylia, and its remains still convey the scale of a prosperous Roman provincial capital: monumental gates with round Hellenistic towers, a long colonnaded street with a water channel running down its centre, baths, an agora and a large stadium. The city also appears in the New Testament, as Saint Paul passed through it on his first missionary journey. Aspendos, near the Kopru River, is famous above all for its theatre, built in the second century AD during the reign of Marcus Aurelius. Its stage building and seating have survived so completely that the acoustics can still be appreciated today.
Side, whose name is believed to mean pomegranate in an old Anatolian language, was an important harbour town in antiquity. Its ruins, including a theatre and the columns of the Temple of Apollo by the water, sit right beside the lively old town. This Pamphylia day trip includes air-conditioned, non-smoking coach transport from Manavgat and back; lunch is not part of the package, so bring some cash for the lunch stop.

Perge, Aspendos & Side Programme After pickup from your hotel in Manavgat, our air-conditioned, non-smoking coach drives west to Perge, the ancient capital of the Pamphylia region and the first visit of the day. With your English-speaking guide you walk through the city gates and along the colonnaded main street, learning how Perge grew rich under Roman rule and how its public buildings were used. Following a short break, the tour continues to Aspendos, where the magnificent Roman theatre is the focus of the visit; you have time to climb the tiers and admire its remarkably intact stage wall. The group then stops for lunch, which is at your own expense, before driving on to Side. Here the guide shows you the remains of this ancient harbour city on its small peninsula, and you then enjoy about half an hour of free time to browse the shops of the old town. At the end of the programme the coach takes you back to Manavgat and drops you off at your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
