From Alanya
This Alanya cooking lesson and shopping tour is a relaxed daily tour from Alanya for travellers who want to get to know the Mediterranean coast through its food. With hotel pickup in Alanya, an English-speaking guide and a hands-on class in a local restaurant, the day blends kitchen work, a shared lunch of the dishes you have prepared and free time in the town centre.
The cooking lesson is the heart of this daily excursion. Southern Turkish cuisine relies on seasonal vegetables, olive oil, fresh herbs and patient preparation, and the recipes chosen for the class reflect that style perfectly. Taze bakla is a much-loved home dish in which young broad beans are gently cooked and served with olive oil, while kabak çiçeği dolması turns the soft blossoms of the courgette plant into small stuffed parcels that need a careful hand. Meze are the small plates that open almost every Turkish meal, and learning a few of them gives you recipes that are easy to repeat at home. Your guide explains the ingredients, the techniques and the traditions behind each plate, and the group then sits down to taste everything together over lunch.
After the meal you head into the centre of Alanya, a lively resort town watched over by its castle peninsula, where you are free to browse shops and stalls for spices, textiles, souvenirs or local products. This Alanya day trip suits families, couples and food lovers of all ages, since the physical effort is minimal. Travel is in an air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle, and you are brought back to your hotel or the meeting point at the end of the afternoon.

Turkish Cooking Class & Alanya Shopping Programme Your day starts between 08:30 and 09:30 with pickup from your hotel in Alanya or from the agreed meeting point, after which your English-speaking guide accompanies you to a local restaurant for your first Turkish cooking lesson. Working alongside the kitchen team, you discover the typical flavours of the Alanya region and prepare classic home-style dishes such as taze bakla made with fresh broad beans, kabak çiçeği dolması made from stuffed courgette flowers, and a selection of meze starters. The guide helps with translation and explains how each recipe fits into everyday Turkish cooking. Once the work in the kitchen is done, everyone gathers at the table to enjoy the results as lunch. In the afternoon you are driven to Alanya city centre for free time to stroll, shop and pick up souvenirs or local products at your own pace. The programme ends with a transfer back to your hotel or the meeting point, usually between 17:00 and 18:00.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
