My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This Aspendos and Perge tour from Alanya is a fully guided day tour that brings together two of the most impressive ancient sites of the Pamphylian plain and one of the region's favourite natural spots. With hotel pickup in Alanya, an English-speaking guide, lunch and entrance fees for the listed sites, it is an easy way to explore classical history in a single day.
The highlight of this daily excursion is Aspendos, set on a low plain beside the Kopru River, known in antiquity as the Eurymedon. Its theatre is widely regarded as the finest surviving Roman theatre in the Mediterranean world. It was designed by the architect Zenon, son of Theodoros, while Marcus Aurelius ruled Rome (161–180 AD), and its seating could hold an audience of some 15,000 to 20,000 people. The stage building and the arched gallery above the seats remain remarkably intact, giving a real sense of how spectators experienced a performance almost two thousand years ago.
Perge lies in the Aksu district, east of Antalya's centre. Believed to date back to the Hittite period, when it was recorded as Parha, it grew into one of the most orderly cities in Roman Anatolia, with colonnaded streets, baths and gates. Many of the marble statues uncovered here are now displayed in the Antalya Museum. Perge also holds a special place in Christian history, as St. Paul passed through the city on his missionary journeys. This daily tour from Alanya ends at Manavgat Waterfall, where the river tumbles over a wide rocky ledge in a cool, shaded setting before you return to your hotel.

Aspendos, Perge & Manavgat Waterfall Programme In the morning you are picked up from your hotel or apartment in Alanya and travel west along the coast at a comfortable pace. The first stop is the ancient bridge close to Aspendos, where you can enjoy the river scenery, take photographs and hear the background story of the area from your guide. You then continue to Aspendos itself to explore its magnificent Roman theatre, built in the 2nd century AD under Marcus Aurelius and still one of the most complete structures of its kind. Next the tour moves on to Perge Ancient City in the Aksu district, where you walk among the remains of a well-planned Roman city famous for its architecture and marble sculpture, and a place visited by St. Paul. Lunch is included during the day. In the afternoon you head to the well-known Manavgat Waterfall to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings before the return drive brings you back to your hotel in Alanya.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
