My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
From Alacati
This relaxed Aegean day tour from Alacati links three of the prettiest towns on the Izmir coast, Alacati, Cesme and Sigacik, with hotel pickup, an English-speaking guide and generous free time at every stop. It is a perfect daily excursion for travellers who enjoy stone-built streets, seaside castles, lively bazaars and long views over the turquoise sea.
The Alacati, Cesme & Sigacik Tour is also arranged for visitors coming over from Chios for the day. Catch the early ferry to Çeşme (from Chios the ferry takes 20 minutes) and you will be back on the island the same evening. Our team welcomes you at the Çeşme ferry port and makes sure the day ends in time for your return crossing. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
The day starts in Alacati, known in antiquity as Agrilla, where honey-coloured stone houses, hanging gardens and a row of iconic windmills stand on a hill swept by the famous Aegean breeze. You have free time to wander its lanes at your own pace before continuing to Cesme, a historic harbour town on a peninsula once home to the Ionian world. Here you visit Cesme Castle, built in 1508 on the orders of Sultan Bayezid II, whose walls offer fine views over the harbour, and then enjoy leisure time in the busy Cesme Bazaar, ideal for shopping and tasting local flavours.
The final stop is Sigacik, a peaceful fishing village on a bay of crystal-clear water, enclosed by a castle built in the reign of Suleyman the Magnificent. You can browse the market of Seferihisar, the first town in Turkey to be certified as a Cittaslow or slow city, sample authentic local cooking, take photographs and simply enjoy the scenery. In the late afternoon you are driven back to your hotel after a day trip that captures the easy-going spirit of the Turkish Aegean.

Aegean Towns Programme Your guide picks you up from your hotel in the morning and the day begins in Alacati, the former Agrilla, a town celebrated for its distinctive stone architecture, hanging gardens, landmark windmills and steady sea breeze. Enjoy free time to stroll its streets, photograph the windmills and soak up the atmosphere. Next, the tour continues to Cesme, a historic port on the Aegean peninsula. Visit Cesme Castle, built in 1508 under Sultan Bayezid II, where your guide shares the fortress's story and you can enjoy views over the harbour. Afterwards there is leisure time in the lively Cesme Bazaar for shopping and trying traditional tastes. The final leg of the day takes you to Sigacik, a quiet coastal town known for its clear blue sea and its castle commissioned by Suleyman the Magnificent. My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
