My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This daily Alacati and Izmir tour from Cesme brings together three sides of the Aegean coast: a stone-built village of windmills, a boutique vineyard with its own wines, and the busy heart of Izmir. It is a relaxed day tour with a licensed English-speaking guide, a comfortable vehicle and pick-up from your hotel or the cruise port in Cesme, so it suits couples, families and cruise passengers with a single free day.
The Alacati & Izmir Tour is also arranged for visitors coming over from Chios for the day. Catch the early ferry to Çeşme (from Chios the ferry takes 20 minutes) and you will be back on the island the same evening. Our team welcomes you at the Çeşme ferry port and makes sure the day ends in time for your return crossing. For longer itineraries we check the ferry timetable first and confirm that the full programme fits your day. Please bring your passport and check the Turkish entry requirements for your nationality before travelling.
Alacati grew up in the 19th century as a Greek-Turkish wine and farming village, and its windmills once ground grain in the steady northern winds that today attract windsurfers. The restored stone houses, blue shutters and small courtyards make it one of the most photogenic towns of the Cesme peninsula. The Aegean hinterland has produced wine since antiquity, and the vineyard stop explains how local grapes are grown and turned into wine before you taste a selection yourself.
In the afternoon this Izmir day trip moves to the city once known as Smyrna. The Clock Tower on Konak Square was built in 1901 and is decorated in late Ottoman style, while Kemeralti has been the commercial heart of the port since the Ottoman period, with caravanserais, mosques and hundreds of small shops. Guests who wish can also visit the Agora, where columns and vaulted basements of the Roman market still stand.
Practical notes: this daily excursion involves moderate walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Wine tasting is only for guests aged 18 and over, vegetarian and vegan meals can be arranged on request, and the tour runs in all weather. The return to Cesme is at about 17:00.

Alacati, Vineyard & Izmir Programme Your driver and guide meet you at about 09:00 at your hotel or at the cruise port in Cesme, and a short drive brings you to Alacati around 09:45. Here you walk through quiet lanes framed by stone houses and bougainvillea, browse small artisan workshops and cafes, and climb to the row of windmills for wide views and photos. At about 11:30 the tour continues to a boutique vineyard, where a guided walk explains local winemaking traditions before a tasting of several regional wines served with cheese and olives. Around 13:00 you sit down for a traditional Turkish lunch in a local restaurant, with fresh seafood, a choice of meze and dishes seasoned with Aegean herbs. From about 14:30 the afternoon is spent in Izmir: you see Konak Square and its well-known Clock Tower, then wander through the busy alleys of Kemeralti Bazaar, a good place to look for local crafts and souvenirs. If time and interest allow, an optional visit to the ancient Agora of Smyrna can be added. At around 17:00 the vehicle heads back to Cesme and you are dropped off at your hotel or the cruise port.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
