My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
2 Days Ankara to Gallipoli and Troy Group Tour
Highlights of the Gallipoli and Troy Tour from Ankara
This short group tour takes you from Ankara to the Dardanelles for two of the most visited historic sites in Turkey: the Gallipoli peninsula and the ancient city of Troy. You travel overnight by coach from Ankara to Canakkale, cross the strait by ferry to Eceabat and spend the afternoon on a guided tour of the Gallipoli battlefields. After a night in a hotel in Canakkale, a licensed local guide shows you Troy the next morning, and in the afternoon you take the coach back to Ankara, arriving around midnight.
The Gallipoli tour follows the classic route along the Anzac sector. It starts at Anzac Cove and Brighton Beach, continues to the Beach Cemetery, the Anzac Commemorative Site and Ariburnu Cemetery, and climbs to the Lone Pine Australian Memorial. You also see the Respect to Mehmetcik statue, the Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels at Johnston's Jolly, the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek and finally the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial high above the coast, with time at each stop for the guide to explain what happened there.
At Troy you walk past the wooden Trojan Horse into an archaeological site where the remains of nine successive cities, from Troy I to Troy IX, lie on top of each other. The visit covers the 3,700-year-old city walls, the sacrificial altars, the houses of Troy I dating from about 3000 to 2500 BC, the Bouleuterium (senate building), the Odeon and the areas where excavations are still in progress. Free time follows before the afternoon departure from Canakkale.
The price includes one night of hotel accommodation in Canakkale, guiding on both the Gallipoli and the Troy tours in English or Turkish, entrance fees to the sites, air-conditioned tour transport on the touring days, parking, road tolls and local taxes. The coach ticket between Ankara and Canakkale, the ferry ticket across the Dardanelles, meals and insurance are not included, so the tour suits travellers who want an efficient, budget-friendly way to see Gallipoli and Troy from the capital.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized β from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
