Your day begins with pickup on request in Trabzon before a 09:30 departure toward Altindere National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive into the forested mountains as you approach the sheer cliffs where Sumela Monastery is situated at an elevation of 1,200 meters.
Following a short shuttle transfer (shuttle fee excluded) and an uphill walk, arrive at Sumela Monastery for a 90-minute guided visit. Explore the rock-cut chapels and courtyards perched dramatically on the cliff face (Sumela Monastery entrance ticket is included).
Next, travel up to Zigana Mountain at 2,000 meters above sea level to admire the alpine landscape. Stop here for a 65-minute lunch break to relax and take in the panoramic mountain views (lunch and drinks are excluded).
Continue along the historic Silk Road route to the pastoral village of Hamsikoy for a 30-minute visit. Here, take time to wander the scenic rural settlement, famed for its authentic Turkish rice pudding (sutlac).
Drive through the Zigana Tunnel to reach the Torul Glass Observation Terrace. Spend 25 minutes viewing the dramatic drop and surrounding mountains from the glass walkway (Torul Glass Terrace entrance fee is excluded).
