11 Days North & West Turkey Tour: Trabzon, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale & Istanbul Private Tour
Highlights of the 11-day North & West Turkey Journey
Begin in Istanbul, where the tour opens with a glimpse of the city’s imperial past before a short transfer to the Black Sea coast. In Trabzon you will explore the cliff‑side Sumela Monastery, a 4th‑century sanctuary nestled in Altındere National Park, followed by visits to the 13th‑century Hagia Sophia Museum and the historic Trabzon Castle, offering panoramic views of the sea.
The adventure continues inland to Ankara, Turkey’s capital, where the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations showcases artifacts from Hattusa and other ancient sites, and a traditional lunch is enjoyed in a historic house near the ancient citadel. A scenic bus ride brings you to Cappadocia, where the surreal landscapes of Devrent Valley and the fairy‑chimney formations of Pasabag set the stage for a pottery workshop in Avanos and a tour of the Göreme Open‑Air Museum’s rock‑cut churches. The following day adds a gentle hike through Rose Valley, a walk among the ruins of Çavuşin village, a lunch in the pigeon‑filled valleys, and an underground journey through Kaymakli, capped by a visit to the natural rock castle of Ortahisar.
Flying westward, the itinerary lands in the ancient city of Ephesus, where you will walk the marble streets past the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre and visit the House of the Virgin Mary, before exploring the Ephesus Museum, the site of the Temple of Artemis, St John’s Castle and the Ottoman‑era Isa Bey Mosque. The next day showcases the sculptural excellence of Aphrodisias, the therapeutic thermal pools of Pamukkale’s white travertine terraces, and the Roman Pool of Hierapolis, before you fly back to Istanbul for three guided days: the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, Dolmabahce Palace with a Bosphorus cruise and Istiklal Street, and the Golden Horn with Suleymaniye Mosque, the Chora Church and Camlica Hill.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
