The tour begins at around 9:30 with a quick, comfortable transfer from your accommodation in Marmaris to the city harbour, where your boat and the rest of the group are waiting. Once everyone is aboard, you sail out into the clear-blue Mediterranean, and the diving instructors hold a briefing, hand out your gear and explain how to use your snorkel, fins and mask. Those who want extra comfort can rent a wetsuit, and life-jackets are available for children or less confident swimmers. The boat then drops anchor at several marvellous, quiet bays where the water is almost perfectly transparent.
The Mediterranean's underwater life is legendary, and snorkeling here you will drift above shoals of brightly coloured fish and vibrant sea anemones.
