From Canakkale
This guided Gallipoli day tour covers the key battlefields, memorials and cemeteries of the 1915 campaign in one full day, starting from Eceabat on the Gallipoli peninsula. Travelling in a small group with a professional English-speaking guide, you follow the story of the campaign from the Dardanelles defences to the ridges where its outcome was decided, with lunch and all entrance fees included.
The route begins at Kilitbahir, where the Ottoman fortress and the Rumeli Mecidiye Bastion guarded the narrowest point of the strait, and the monument to Corporal Seyit, who is said to have carried a huge shell to his gun by hand. You then visit the Sahindere Martyrdom and the towering Canakkale Martyrs' Memorial before continuing past Morto Bay to the southern tip of the peninsula, where Allied troops came ashore at Cape Helles on the Sedd el Bahr front. Nearby stand the Yahya Cavus Martyrdom and Ertugrul Bay, reminders of the fierce defence of the landing beaches.
On the northern front the tour reaches Anzac Cove and the Anzac hills, then follows the path linked to the 57th Regiment Martyrdom, the unit Mustafa Kemal ordered to hold the line. The final stop is Chunuk Bair, the summit where Ataturk commanded his soldiers and where, according to the well-known story, a piece of shrapnel was stopped by the pocket watch over his heart. It is a moving day for anyone interested in First World War history, and many visitors find the stories told at these sites deeply emotional.

Gallipoli Battlefields Programme After breakfast, the tour begins in Eceabat on the Canakkale side of the Gallipoli peninsula, where you meet your English-speaking guide. The first visits are on the shores of the Dardanelles at Kilitbahir, home to the Ottoman castle and the Rumeli Mecidiye Bastion, and the Seyit Onbasi Monument honouring the corporal remembered for lifting a heavy shell into his gun. The route then continues to the Sahindere Martyrdom and on to the Canakkale Martyrs' Memorial, the largest monument on the peninsula. Driving south past Morto Bay, you reach the Sedd el Bahr front, also known as the landing at Cape Helles, followed by the Yahya Cavus Martyrdom and Ertugrul Bay. Lunch is served during the day. In the afternoon the group heads north to Anzac Cove and the Anzac hills, then walks along the route associated with the 57th Regiment Martyrdom. The tour climbs to Chunuk Bair, where Ataturk directed his troops and where, as the famous account goes, his pocket watch stopped a fragment of shrapnel. At the end of the programme, you are taken back to your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
