The tour begins in Istanbul, where a guided city tour of Topkapı Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Spice Bazaar is followed by an evening ANZAC conference with experts from Australia, New Zealand and Turkey. Travelling to the Gallipoli peninsula, your guides lead you through the battlefields and memorials — the Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine, Quinn's Post, the Turkish 57th Regiment Cemetery, the Nek and Chunuk Bair — where Anzac and Ottoman soldiers fought in 1915.
A day at Troy, across the Dardanelles, brings the mythology of the Trojan Horse to life before the solemn heart of the tour: an overnight at Anzac Cove for the Dawn Service at the Commemorative Site, followed by the Australian service at Lone Pine and the New Zealand service at Chunuk Bair. Afterwards you return to Istanbul for your final night. (Breakfast) A guided tour of Istanbul's old city — Topkapı Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome with its obelisks and the Spice Bazaar — with an optional Bosphorus cruise. In the evening an ANZAC conference, held by experts from Australia, New Zealand and Turkey with a welcome cocktail, introduces the history of the Gallipoli campaign and the Dawn Service. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) You depart early for the Gallipoli peninsula, watching documentaries on the way, and after lunch on the coast at Kabatepe tour the battlefields: the Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Cemetery, Quinn's Post, the Turkish 57th Regiment Cemetery, the Nek and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. Dinner and overnight in Çanakkale.
(Breakfast, Dinner) You cross the Dardanelles to visit Troy and the Trojan Horse, with your guide recounting the legends of Hector, Achilles and Helen. After a buffet dinner at the hotel you travel to Anzac Cove for an overnight at the Commemorative Site ahead of the Dawn Service (optional hotel accommodation in Çanakkale is available on pre-booking). (Dinner) You attend the Dawn Service at the ANZAC Commemorative Site at North Beach, followed by the Australian Memorial Service at Lone Pine and the New Zealand Memorial Service at Chunuk Bair. In the afternoon you travel back to Istanbul (a five-to-six-hour drive). Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.
(Breakfast) After breakfast you check out and transfer to the airport for your onward flight, bringing your ANZAC Day commemorative tour to a close.
