The journey begins with two nights in Istanbul, with free time and an optional tour of the old city, before a guided day in Bursa — the Great Mosque, the Green Mosque and Tomb and the Ottoman village of Cumalıkızık — and on to the Aegean resort of Kuşadası, the gateway to Ephesus. After free time by the sea you travel to Pamukkale, the "Cotton Castle" of thermal terraces, then cross to Konya to visit the Mevlana Museum, shrine of the mystic founder of the Whirling Dervishes, before reaching Cappadocia.
In Cappadocia you have free time to explore the valleys, cave churches and fairy chimneys, with an optional balloon flight at dawn. The tour then heads east to the rarely-visited province of Tokat, stopping at the historic Zile Castle — where Julius Caesar declared "Veni, vidi, vici" — before touring Tokat's old city, the healing Ballıca Caves and tranquil Lake Gaz, and flying back to Istanbul. After breakfast you drive to Bursa, the first Ottoman capital, for a guided tour of the Great Mosque (Ulu Camii), the historic village of Cumalıkızık, the Green Mosque and the Green Tomb, with time to enjoy Bursa's famous delights and bazaar. You then continue to the Aegean resort of Kuşadası (about 4.5 hours). Overnight in Kuşadası.
A free day to relax by the sea in Kuşadası, or to join an optional tour of Ephesus, one of the great cities of the ancient world. Overnight in Kuşadası.
At around 08:00 you depart for Pamukkale (about three hours). The rest of the day is free to relax at your thermal hotel or join an optional tour of the dazzling white travertine terraces and the warm springs. Overnight in Pamukkale.
After an early breakfast you drive to Konya, stopping for lunch, and visit the imposing green-tiled Mausoleum of Mevlana, the mystic founder of the Whirling Dervishes. You then continue to Cappadocia, arriving in the evening (those wishing to join an optional dawn balloon flight can register with the guide). Overnight in Cappadocia.

After breakfast you depart Cappadocia for Tokat, stopping at Zile Castle — a Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman fortress famed as the site where Julius Caesar declared "Veni, vidi, vici" after the Battle of Zela in 47 BC, now a museum with commanding views. You then continue to Tokat and check in. Overnight in Tokat.
A full day discovering 900 years of history: a tour of old Tokat with its historic lodges, the Tokat and Ethnography Museums, its renowned Turkish baths and the Clock Tower; then a visit to the famous Ballıca Caves, reputed to ease respiratory ailments, and the beautiful Lake Gaz, set amid nature. Overnight in Tokat.
After breakfast you are transferred to Tokat airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul, where the tour ends. Have a pleasant journey home.
