The following day blends wonder and nostalgia: at the Istanbul Sea Life Aquarium you walk the 80-metre acrylic tunnel beneath sharks, giant rays and octopuses and explore tanks themed on the Mediterranean, Aegean and tropical seas, then step back in time at the Istanbul Toy Museum, home to four thousand toys and miniatures from Turkey and around the world. Theme Park (Breakfast) After breakfast, at around 09:00, you set off for a full day at Isfanbul (formerly Vialand), Istanbul's first modern theme park, set over a vast site in the Eyüp district. With more than fifty attractions — from a high-speed launch coaster and a water coaster to a drop tower, a rapid river ride and gentle carousels, mini-cars and 3D cinemas for younger children — there is something for every age. After breakfast you visit the Istanbul Sea Life Aquarium, the first giant aquarium in Turkey, with 29 themed tanks representing seas from the Mediterranean and Aegean to tropical oceans; the children can watch sharks, giant rays, piranhas and octopuses and walk through the 80-metre acrylic underwater tunnel. You then head to the Istanbul Toy Museum, founded by the poet Sunay Akın, where some 4,000 toys and miniatures — many antique, some nearly two centuries old — are displayed in a wonderfully nostalgic setting.
