My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This daily Saklikent tour from Dalaman pairs one of the oldest Lycian settlements with one of the most striking gorges in Europe, all in a single relaxed day tour with an English-speaking guide. Hotel pickup in Dalaman, lunch and entrance fees are part of this daily excursion, so you can simply enjoy the ruins, the mountain air and the cool waters of the canyon.
Tlos was one of the leading cities of ancient Lycia, and scholars regard it as an important religious centre of the region. Built across a hillside, the site mixes Lycian, Roman and later remains. Local legend says the hero Bellerophon lived here with his winged horse Pegasus, and a royal-style tomb in the necropolis is traditionally associated with him. Walking between the tombs, the bath complex, the old marketplace and the theatre gives you a real sense of how the city spread over the slope, and the panorama is superb for photos.
After lunch the Saklikent day trip continues to the canyon whose name means "hidden valley". It is often described as the second longest gorge in Europe, carved by mountain water through towering limestone walls. Most guests spend around an hour walking into the gorge, while the more adventurous can choose rafting or a zipline ride instead.
Practical notes: bring water shoes or sandals that can get wet, a towel and swimwear if you plan to wade, plus sun protection for the ruins. Travel is by air-conditioned, non-smoking coach, and the drive from Dalaman to Tlos takes about one hour.

Tlos & Saklikent Canyon Programme Your day begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Dalaman, followed by a scenic drive of roughly one hour to Tlos Ancient City. With your guide you explore this 4,000-year-old Lycian settlement spread across the hillside: the rock-cut tombs of the necropolis, including the royal-style tomb linked in legend to Bellerophon and his winged horse Pegasus, then the Roman bath, the agora and the theatre, where the views across the valley are wonderful for photos. Next comes a lunch stop at a local restaurant, where you can relax in the shaded pavilion before continuing. In the afternoon you reach Saklikent, the hidden canyon stretching 18 km between walls about 300 metres high. Here you can spend roughly an hour walking into the gorge, or swap the walk for a rafting trip or a zipline ride. Once the visit is over, the coach takes you back to your hotel in Dalaman.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
