Rafting Programme In the morning you are picked up from your hotel in Dalaman and driven to the starting point on the river. Here the team hands out the equipment and explains the safety rules, and you choose between the larger rafts, which carry 6 to 10 people, and the two-seater canoes on the Koprulu Cay and Dalaman rivers. After a short lesson on paddling and commands, you practise on a calm, quiet stretch so the whole crew learns to work together. Then the rafts turn towards the faster water and you ride the swooping standing waves, holding on tight as the boat bucks and splashes beneath you. After the first section there is a welcome pause on the riverbank for a lunch of barbecued trout. Full and rested, you get back in the boats and continue downstream to the last and most spectacular rapid, after which the rafts are hauled ashore.
