My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This daily Pamukkale tour from Mugla brings together the shimmering white terraces of the Cotton Castle and the ruins of ancient Hierapolis in one relaxed day tour. You are collected from your hotel in Mugla, travel in an air-conditioned, non-smoking coach, explore with a professional English-speaking guide and enjoy lunch along the way.
The landscape of Pamukkale is the work of thermal springs emerging from a cliff almost 200 metres above the valley floor. Their water, close to 35°C and loaded with calcium bicarbonate, gives off carbon dioxide as it runs down the slope and deposits soft white limestone. The result is a surreal scene of stone cascades, mineral formations and stepped basins that looks like snow even in high summer.
Hierapolis was founded as a healing spa by the Attalid dynasty and flourished under Roman rule. Together with the travertines it is recorded by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site of both cultural and natural value. Highlights include one of the largest burial grounds of antiquity, with some tombs the size of small houses, the restored Great Theatre, the shrine linked to St. Philip and the remains of baths and temples. It is an easy-going daily excursion, well suited to all ages.
Good to know: entrance fees named in the programme are included, while the Cleopatra Pool requires its own ticket, so ask your guide for details. Free time to view local handicrafts follows the visit, and the return to Mugla starts in the late afternoon.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis Programme The day starts with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Mugla and a scenic coach ride to Pamukkale. Your English-speaking guide first leads you into Hierapolis, the ancient spa city created by the Attalid rulers of Pergamon and now preserved as an open-air museum. Along the route you pass the enormous necropolis, where more than 1,200 sarcophagi stand among the hills, before reaching the Roman Baths, the Great Theatre, the burial site of St. Philip, the gymnasium now used as a museum and the Temple of Apollo. You then come to the brilliant white travertines, where warm spring water trickles over limestone terraces and pools, giving you time to stroll and take photographs. Within the ancient site you can also choose to swim in the Cleopatra Pool; it carries an extra entrance charge and your guide will explain how it works. Lunch is included during the tour. Afterwards you have some free time to see Turkish handicrafts such as leather, textiles, onyx, jewellery or Turkish delight. Between about 15:30 and 16:30 the coach departs for Mugla and drops you back at your hotel.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
