My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
This 6-day nature tour in Bolu and Duzce takes you to the Seven Lakes of Yedigoller, Eftani Lake and two spectacular waterfalls, while adding a Turkish cooking class and a traditional hamam experience for a relaxing break in northwest Turkey's forested highlands. Bolu is famous across the country for its cuisine and celebrated chefs, and the Abant area, named after its lake, is one of its most loved natural retreats. You are met at the Bolu coach station and taken to your hotel for five nights in the Abant and Yedigoller area.
The first excursion explores Yedigoller National Park, where seven lakes – Sazligol, Incegol, Nazligol, Kurugol, Deringol, Buyukgol and Seringol – lie strung out over some 2,000 metres in a deep pine and beech forest, each changing colour with the seasons. Walking trails lead to Dilek Fountain, the Gulen rocks, Bakacak Hill and the Kapankaya observation point, all excellent spots for photography. Another day is devoted to a Turkish cooking lesson at a local restaurant, where you prepare Bolu specialities such as Abant kebab, Mengen rice and a dessert before enjoying them for lunch, followed by free time for shopping in the city centre. You also spend a morning at a historic Turkish bath in Bolu, moving from the changing cubicle to the sicaklik (hot room), the soap scrub and the sogukluk (cool room) with towels and tea.
The final excursion crosses into Duzce to visit the Eftani (Efteni) Bird Sanctuary and the Guzeldere Waterfall, which tumbles about 135 metres amid picnic areas, nature trails and camping grounds, before continuing to the Samandere Waterfall, a protected Natural Monument, and a walk through chestnut, beech and linden forest. With hotel accommodation, five breakfasts, the cooking-class lunch, a professional English-speaking guide, entrance fees and coach-station transfers included, this private tour is perfect for nature lovers, photographers and anyone seeking a peaceful escape from city life.

After breakfast we collect you from the hotel and set off for Yedigoller National Park. Set in a dense forest, the seven lakes shine like gemstones among the trees and take on a different look in every season. Lined up over roughly 2,000 metres from south to north, they are Sazligol, Incegol, Nazligol, Kurugol, Deringol, Buyukgol and Seringol. As you walk the trails you visit Dilek Fountain, the Gulen rocks, Bakacak Hill and the Kapankaya observation point, which offers a wide view over the lakes and forest canopy. Along the way there are many chances to take beautiful photographs of the water, the reflections and the autumn or spring colours. At the end of the tour you return to your hotel. Overnight in the Yedigoller area.
After breakfast you are driven to a local restaurant for a professional Turkish cooking lesson. Bolu is known throughout Turkey as the home of many famous chefs, and during this Abant cooking experience you discover the flavours of the region by preparing a menu that includes Abant kebab, Mengen rice made with local rice, and a traditional dessert. Once the dishes are ready, you sit down together and enjoy the lunch you have cooked yourself. In the afternoon you head to Bolu city centre for free time to browse the shops and local markets for souvenirs and regional products. Afterwards you are dropped back at your hotel. Overnight in the Yedigoller area.
After breakfast we pick you up for a visit to one of Bolu's traditional Turkish baths, housed in a historic building. The hamam tradition in Anatolia blends Turkish bathing customs with those of the Romans and Byzantines. On arrival you are given a private cubicle to change into a waist cloth, then led to the sicaklik, the hot room, where the heat helps your muscles relax. In the warm room the attendants (tellak for men, natir for women) scrub you down with Turkish soap and a special cloth to remove dead skin and open your pores. Afterwards you rest in the sogukluk, the cool room, wrapped in towels. A massage can be added at extra cost, or you can simply relax with tea or another drink, leaving with your skin feeling completely renewed. Return to the hotel. Overnight in the Yedigoller area.
After breakfast you set off for Duzce province. The first stop is the Eftani (Efteni) Bird Sanctuary, a wetland haven for birdlife, followed by the Guzeldere Waterfall, which drops about 135 metres at an altitude of around 630 metres amid picnic spots, nature trails and camping areas where lush vegetation meets the sound of rushing water. You then visit the Samandere Waterfall, declared a Natural Monument, hidden among tall trees with shaded resting places in the forest. Afterwards you follow a woodland path through chestnut, beech and linden trees and have free time to enjoy the surroundings before the transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in the Yedigoller area.
After breakfast you have free time to enjoy a final walk in the forest or relax at the hotel. Depending on your bus departure time, you check out and are transferred back to the Bolu coach station for your onward journey home, taking with you memories of the Seven Lakes, the waterfalls of Duzce and the flavours of Bolu. Please share your bus time with us in advance so the transfer can be arranged comfortably. We hope to welcome you again on another of our tours. End of our services.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
