Karakas Apart is a small, family-run apartment hotel on Hasan Işık Caddesi in Kemeraltı, one of the central neighbourhoods of Marmaris in Muğla. The location is practical for a self-catering holiday: the traditional Thursday market is only a couple of minutes away, a 24-hour mini market stands across the street and a larger supermarket is a short walk down the road. The seafront promenade, the long town beach, the Grand Bazaar and Bar Street can all be reached on foot in around 10 to 15 minutes, while Marmaris Castle is about 1 km away and Netsel Marmaris Marina roughly 1.5 km.
