Fora a is a one-of-a-kind place to stay in Bodrum: instead of a conventional hotel building, guests sleep aboard a traditional wooden sailing yacht moored in Bodrum Marina, right in the centre of town on the Muğla coast of the Turkish Aegean. The boat lies off Neyzen Tevfik Street, the marina's waterfront avenue, so cafés, restaurants and shops are a short walk away. Bodrum Castle is about 0.7 km along the harbour and Bodrum Bus Station roughly 0.7 km from the berth.

The vessel is a classic two-masted Turkish gulet with a dark hull, varnished timber decks and a shaded aft deck. Life on board centres on the outdoor areas: a large cushioned lounge at the stern with a polished wooden table, and sunbathing mattresses on the foredeck with open views over the water.
