The day starts at the iconic Castle of St. Peter (Bodrum Castle), built by the Knights Hospitaller in the 15th century with stones taken from the ruined Mausoleum. Inside the castle walls you visit the world-famous Museum of Underwater Archaeology, home to the 3,300-year-old Uluburun shipwreck, the glass shipwreck hall, ancient amphorae and the Carian Princess exhibition, before climbing the towers for sweeping views over the twin bays and the marina.
Next comes the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the tomb of King Mausolus and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the monument that gave every mausoleum its name. You then drive up to the hillside Bodrum Windmills for the classic photo stop over the peninsula, pass through the Myndos Gate, one of the two original entrances of ancient Halicarnassus, and finish at the Ancient Theatre of Halicarnassus, dating back to the 4th century BC and once seating around 10,000 spectators. Free time for shopping or a coffee in the old town completes the day before your drop-off.

Your private guide meets you at the Bodrum Cruise Port or your hotel lobby with a name sign. The tour begins at the Castle of St. Peter (Bodrum Castle), where you explore the towers, the Knights' coats of arms and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology with the Uluburun shipwreck, the glass shipwreck hall and the Carian Princess exhibition.
From the castle you continue to the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and visit the open-air remains and the small museum explaining the original monument.
A short drive brings you to the hilltop Bodrum Windmills for panoramic photos of the peninsula, followed by the Myndos Gate, one of the two ancient city gates of Halicarnassus.
The last sightseeing stop is the Ancient Theatre of Halicarnassus (4th century BC) with views over Bodrum bay. After some free time for shopping in the old town you are driven back to the cruise port or your hotel. Total duration 5–7 hours, adjusted to your ship schedule.
