Istinye Park, Tarabya & Craft Shops Programme The day begins with an early pickup from your hotel in Istanbul and a comfortable transfer north to Istinye Park in the Sariyer district, one of the city's most elegant shopping destinations. With roughly 300 stores, the centre gathers international fashion houses such as Dior, Prada, Fendi and Louis Vuitton, well-known Turkish brands and high-street favourites, together with cafes, restaurants, a food market and Istanbul's first IMAX theatre, so you can shop, browse or simply enjoy a coffee at your own pace. From there the tour follows the Bosphorus to Tarabya, a charming suburb on the European shore. Here you have time to stroll along the water, photograph the bay and its historic landmarks, and stop for lunch at one of the fish restaurants or bistros the area is known for. Later you visit a traditional rug store, where specialists explain how hand-knotted village and workshop carpets from regions such as Hereke and Kayseri are woven and coloured with natural dyes, and tell the story of the DOBAG project that revived these methods in the 1970s. The final stop is a leather shop, where demonstrations reveal how premium Turkish leather goods are produced. At the end of the day you are driven back to your hotel.
