My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
9 Days South Western Turkey Tour – Cappadocia, Konya, Antalya, Pamukkale & Ephesus Private Tour
Highlights of the 9 Days South Western Turkey Tour
This private journey runs from the volcanic moonscapes and cave settlements of inner Anatolia to the Mediterranean shore and finally the Aegean. It opens with three nights in Cappadocia, where a full day covers Göreme Valley, the rock dwellings around Uchisar, a coffee stop inside a cave home and the Göreme Open-Air Museum with its frescoed rock-cut churches and monasteries. The afternoon brings the family fairy chimneys and wishing hill of Urgup, a tasting at a local winery, the figure-like rocks of Devrent Valley, the multi-capped chimneys of Monks Valley, the pottery town of Avanos and a short walk in Rose Valley before a remote sunset viewpoint.
The second Cappadocia day is spent in the south of the region: an early walk of about 4 km through Ihlara Valley to its painted churches, lunch on the bank of the Melendiz River, the rock-cut Selime Cathedral, a stop at Nar Crater Lake and, while other groups are still in the valley, a cool afternoon inside Derinkuyu, the largest underground city of Cappadocia, followed by the dovecotes of Pigeon Valley.
A long driving day is broken in Konya at the green-tiled Mausoleum of Mevlana, the mystic whose teachings inspired the Whirling Dervishes, before you reach Antalya for two nights. From there you explore Perge, a rich Pamphylian city where St. Paul began his Anatolian mission, and Aspendos, whose Roman theatre from the reign of Marcus Aurelius is the best preserved of its kind, with a stadium, agora and basilica nearby. Next come the white calcium terraces of Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis, a relaxed morning at the thermal hotel and the drive to Kusadasi. The last full day is devoted to Ephesus, city of Artemis, with its theatre, gymnasium, agora, baths and the Library of Celsus, followed by a guided visit to leather and jewellery workshops.
The price covers eight nights of hotel accommodation, eight breakfasts and seven dinners, professional English-speaking guides, guided tours at every stop, transport in an air-conditioned, non-smoking coach, airport transfers and all entrance fees mentioned in the programme.

Day 1 Arrival - Göreme, Uchisar, Urgup & Avanos ▾
Welcome to Cappadocia. On arrival at the airport or bus station you are transferred to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 2 Göreme, Uchisar, Urgup & Avanos - Ihlara Valley, Selime & Derinkuyu 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
After breakfast you visit Göreme Valley to learn how the rock formations of Cappadocia were created, then continue to the cave dwellings carved into conical rocks around Uchisar. Tea or coffee in a traditional cave home comes before the Göreme Open-Air Museum, where rock-hewn churches and monasteries keep the finest frescoes of the region. After lunch you see the Family Fairy Chimneys of Urgup, taste wines at a local winery and stop at the wishing hill. A short walk in Devrent Valley reveals rocks shaped like figures, and Monks Valley shows monks' cells inside multi-capped fairy chimneys. You then visit Avanos, the pottery town of Cappadocia, and following a brief stroll in Rose Valley you are taken to a quiet, remote viewpoint for sunset. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 3 Ihlara Valley, Selime & Derinkuyu - Konya & Antalya 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
Pick-up from the hotel is at 09:00 after breakfast for the drive to Ihlara Valley, where you walk nearly 4 km and visit frescoed churches before the heat of the day. Lunch is taken on the bank of the Melendiz River, which flows through the valley. Afterwards you visit Selime Cathedral, stop at Nar Crater Lake on the way back and explore Derinkuyu, the biggest underground city of Cappadocia, where the temperature stays at 12-13 °C even in the afternoon. The day ends at Pigeon Valley, whose dovecotes were carved to collect guano. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 4 Konya & Antalya - Perge & Aspendos 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
Much of today is spent on the road, with Konya as the midday stop for lunch. Here you visit the imposing green-tiled Mausoleum of Mevlana, founder of the Sufi order of the Whirling Dervishes, whose path seeks divine love and knowledge through personal experience of God. After the Konya tour you drive on to Antalya, where the remaining hours after check-in are free for exploring the city. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.
Day 5 Perge & Aspendos - Pamukkale & Hierapolis 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
After breakfast you drive to Perge. Said by Strabo to have been founded after the Trojan War, the city was first recorded when Alexander the Great passed through in 334 BC and grew into one of the richest towns of Pamphylia; St. Paul began his campaign in Anatolia here in 46 AD. After a lunch break on the way you reach Aspendos, 47 km east of Antalya on the Pamphylian plain beneath the Taurus Mountains. Its theatre, built in the reign of Marcus Aurelius and maintained by the Byzantines and Seljuks, is the best preserved of all, and the extensive ruins also take in a stadium, a basilica and the agora. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Antalya.
Day 6 Pamukkale & Hierapolis - Pamukkale to Kusadasi 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
After breakfast you set off for Pamukkale to see the white calcium terraces nicknamed the Cotton Castle, together with the remains of ancient Hierapolis. While strolling across the travertines you may also relax in the warm spring water running down the pools. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 7 Pamukkale to Kusadasi - Ephesus 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
There is no need to rise early: enjoy the hotel's thermal pool and the sunshine, explore the town and browse the local shops. After lunch you depart for Kusadasi, receive your room key and have the rest of the day free to explore the resort. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 8 Ephesus - Departure from Kusadasi 🍽 Breakfast · Dinner ▾
At 08:30 you leave for Ephesus, a 20-minute drive away, once a commercial centre of the ancient world and a city dedicated to the goddess Artemis, whose great temple counted among the Seven Wonders. Your walk through the ruins takes in the Library of Celsus, the theatre, the gymnasium, the baths and the agora. In the afternoon a guided shopping visit introduces the traditional crafts of leather manufacturing and jewellery making, free of the pressure often met in the markets. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 9 Departure - Kusadasi 🍽 Breakfast ▾
After breakfast your tour comes to an end. Onward travel is arranged by you; note that rooms must be vacated before noon. Have a safe journey home.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
