My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
3 Days Gallipoli and Troy In-Depth Tour from Istanbul Group Tour
Highlights of the Gallipoli and Troy In-Depth Tour
This three-day guided journey links two of the most visited historical areas of northwest Turkey: the First World War battlefields of the Gallipoli Peninsula and the ancient city of Troy. The tour starts and ends at your hotel in Istanbul, travels by air-conditioned, non-smoking tour coach and is accompanied throughout by professional English-speaking guides. Both nights are spent in Canakkale, so the time on the peninsula and at Troy is not shortened by long daily drives.
On the first day the road from Istanbul to Gallipoli takes around four hours, passing sunflower fields and wind turbines, with short stops for rest and coffee. You arrive around midday and the afternoon is free to settle in, or to wander through the bazaars of Canakkale on your own.
The second day is the in-depth part of the programme and covers two sectors of the 1915 campaign. In the southern Cape Helles area the stops include Kilitbahir Fortress, the Cape Helles Memorial, the Turkish Memorial with its cannon batteries, Morto Bay and the French Cemetery, V Beach seen first from the Turkish side and then up close, Achi Baba Hill, which the British forces never managed to take, the village of Alcitepe and Commonwealth cemeteries such as Lancashire Landing and Twelve Tree Copse. In the northern ANZAC sector you visit ANZAC Cove and Brighton Beach, the ANZAC Commemorative Site, the trenches and tunnels at Johnston's Jolly, the Lone Pine Australian Memorial, The Nek, the Respect to Mehmetcik statue, the cemetery of the Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. You are back at the hotel at about half past five.
On the third day a fully guided visit to Troy brings the story of the Trojan War, Paris and Helen to the ruins themselves. The walk takes in fortifications from several periods of the city, including the 3,200-year-old walls of Troy VI and VII and the much older walls of Troy I and II, together with the Temple of Athena, the Schliemann trench, the Scaean and South Gates, the Odeon, the Bouleuterion, the Roman Bath and the Agora, before the drive back to Istanbul.
The package includes 2 nights of hotel accommodation, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners, hotel pick-up and drop-off in Istanbul, all guided tours and transport by tour coach.

What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized β from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
