My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
Pressed against Turkey’s far-eastern frontier, Agri is a province of wide volcanic plains, snow-streaked peaks and deep layers of history that very few visitors ever reach. This three-day private tour is a relaxed, in-depth introduction to the region, pairing its most celebrated natural wonder — the great cone of Mount Ararat — with lesser-known castles, rock-cut settlements and thermal springs that tell the story of the civilisations who have crossed these highlands for thousands of years. With private transport, a professional English-speaking guide and two nights’ comfortable accommodation, it is an unhurried way to experience a corner of Anatolia that feels genuinely off the beaten track.
The centrepiece is Mount Ararat (Agri Dagi), at 5,137 metres the highest mountain in Turkey, a dormant volcano wrapped in the legend of Noah’s Ark and visible for enormous distances across the plateau. You spend time taking in its twin-peaked silhouette, one of the most photographed landscapes in the country. Nearby you visit the historic Avnik Castle, set among a curious meteorite pit and natural hot springs, and the atmospheric rock-hewn chambers of Meya Ancient City, where caves, temples, living quarters and old tandoor ovens have been carved straight into the cliffs.
The tour also seeks out the striking ship-shaped formation popularly known as Noah’s Ark, a boat-like silhouette in the earth that has drawn pilgrims and the curious for generations, along with the sweeping highland scenery, traditional villages and thermal waters that make the Agri region so distinctive. Beginning and ending at Ahmed-i Hani Airport, with arrival and departure transfers handled for you, this program is ideal for travellers who want to go beyond Turkey’s classic circuit and discover the raw, elemental beauty of the east.
Your full program, day by day — click a day to see every stop.
You are met on arrival at Agri Ahmed-i Hani Airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is free for you to rest after your journey and adjust to the high-plateau setting of eastern Turkey. Your guide confirms the plan for the full touring day ahead. Overnight in Agri.
After breakfast you set out on a full day exploring the highlights of the Agri region with your private guide. You visit the historic Avnik Castle, set beside a striking meteorite pit and natural hot springs, then continue to the Meya Ancient City, where caves, temples, rooms and old tandoor ovens have been cut directly into the rock. You travel on to the famous ship-shaped formation known as Noah’s Ark, and spend time in the shadow of Mount Ararat (Agri Dagi), Turkey’s highest peak, taking in its spectacular twin-summit profile and the surrounding highland landscape before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Agri.
After breakfast and check-out, you are transferred back to Agri Ahmed-i Hani Airport in good time for your onward flight, bringing your eastern Anatolian adventure to a close.

My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
