My husband and I chose Inca Tour for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. The boutique hotel selection was beautiful and the Bosphorus dinner cruise was so romantic. Thank you for making our trip special!

About Izmir, the Pearl of the Aegean
Izmir, the ancient Smyrna, has been a trading port for more than 3,000 years and today is a lively, modern city of four million people with a relaxed seaside lifestyle. Its historic heart lies around Konak and the Kemeraltı bazaar, where Levantine merchants, Ottoman craftsmen and Jewish, Greek and Armenian communities once lived side by side. The tour shows both faces of the city: the old market lanes and caravanserais, and the breezy waterfront promenade loved by locals at sunset.
Getting There from Kusadasi
Izmir is about 90 km north of Kusadasi, roughly 1 hour 15 minutes on the motorway. The day combines the historic centre around Konak and Kemeralti with the modern seaside promenade, and leaves free time for lunch and shopping at your own pace.

Izmir City Tour ProgrammeYou are collected from your hotel in Kuşadası in the morning for the drive north to Izmir. The tour begins at Konak Square, the heart of Izmir, with the ornate Clock Tower of 1901 and the small tiled Konak (Yalı) Mosque beside the sea. From here you walk into Kemeraltı, the historic bazaar district, where narrow lanes, old caravanserais such as Kızlarağası Han, Ottoman mosques and centuries-old coffee houses show the merchant city of Smyrna. You then ride up the Historical Elevator (Asansör), built in 1907 to link the lower and upper parts of the city, for a panoramic view over the Gulf of Izmir, and stroll along the palm-lined Kordon promenade with its seaside cafés. What Our Travellers Say
Real, verified reviews from travellers who explored Turkey with us.
It was important for us to have a guide who spoke Russian, and Ender was wonderful. He explained every detail at Dolmabahce Palace. The Princes Islands day trip was a beautiful break from the busy city.
Our guide Ender was incredibly knowledgeable about Turkish history. The hot-air balloon ride at sunrise in Cappadocia was the highlight of our trip. Everything was perfectly organized — from airport pick-up to the last d...
Ender was our Italian-speaking guide and we felt like family. He took us to local spots tourists never see. The hotel choice in Sultanahmet was perfect for walking everywhere.
10+ years later we still talk about our Cappadocia balloon ride and the Bosphorus sunset cruise. Some memories are timeless. Thank you Inca Tour!
